It is therefore important to prioritise identifying the appearance of new pigmented lesions.

CHANGES IN AN EXISTING MOLE

Melanoma can occur on moles you already have, causing them to change rapidly, either growing, changing shape, colour, becoming itchy or bleeding involuntarily.
