3 valuable pieces of advice
that could save your life

  • 01 • Evaluate your personal risk.

Knowing that you are a high risk individual allows you to adopt appropriate checking techniques and therefore identify any suspect lesions, early on.

CAUTION: melanoma can also occur in patients without pre-existing risk factors; remain alert to this possibility. If you find a suspect lesion, consult your GP.
  • 02 • If you are a high risk individual, regularly check your moles.

This will allow you to locate any suspect lesions to show your GP or dermatologist. This site will teach you how to check your moles, allowing you to compile a personal file where you can create a map of your moles to help monitor them.

This site is not a substitute for a clinical examination of your skin by your GP or dermatologist. Only an expert able to give you a diagnosis.
  • 03 • At all times, make sure you behave responsibly in the sun.
